Void Art School
Curated by Damien Duffy

11 September - 24 September 2010

  • Burn The Gaze

Burn the Gaze is an exhibition of work by past and present Void Art School Students. The work has been created by a number of students who have attended Void Art School over the past 5 years, some of which have gone on to study art at third level.

Throughout the Summer of 2010 the students have been creating the work in the open studio at Void, the culmination of the last two months will be on show and available to purchase tomorrow night. On a recent visit, Michael Sandle from The Royal Academy in London said of the standard of work "This is better than the Royal Academy Schools degree show."

The Art School is co-ordinated by Artist and Curator Damien Duffy, who provides one to one tuition for each of the students. In the last five years Void has had huge success in furthering students into third level education at Art Colleges in Ireland and Britain. The Arts Council of Northern Ireland is a huge advocate of the Void Art School and funds the programme.
