Blind & Partially Sighted Visitors

Audio-described tours of the exhibition are available free of charge for visitors who are blind or vision impaired if booked in advance. To book a place or for more information contact learning@derryvoid.com

Dementia

At Void we are proud that we are a Dementia Friendly gallery. Our learning team have received training in the Meet Me at MoMA ethos in order to effectively provide those living with dementia an effective and fulfilling visit to our gallery.

A structured tour and workshop (if wanted) is available for people living with dementia and their carers.

The tour and workshop provides opportunities for meaningful and interactive engagement with artworks from Void’s current exhibition. It offers intellectual stimulation and encourages self-expression with an opportunity for participants to articulate their opinions about what they experience and to connect with their carers and new people. A creative ageing program, it also promotes lifelong learning and aims to reduce the stigma around dementia.

The program is available free for groups and their carers. Please contact learning@derryvoid.com to arrange a tour and workshop.

We also offer outreach visits to eligible community organisations who cannot access the Gallery, with tailored presentations/workshops exploring the current exhibition.

Neurodiversity

Groups of visitors who are on the Autistic Spectrum are encouraged to contact the gallery to discuss their needs. Tailored guided tours of the shows are available free if booked in advance.
